Museum of Science and Industry Free on Weekdays, Starting Monday

HYDE PARK — The Museum of Science and Industry is offering free admission to all Illinois residents on weekdays, starting Jan 6.

Visitors can view the “Treasures of Walt Disney Archives” exhibit for free at the 5700 S. Lake Shore Drive museum with proof of an Illinois address.

All regular museum exhibits, like the indoor tornado, the historic train and planes and the ongoing restoration of the fairy castle, are included.

Exhibits that require additional tickets, like the U-505 submarine and coal mine, and parking are not included.

The museum is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays.
