CHICAGO — Two teens were hurt in an Ashburn shooting Wednesday night, police said.

A 17-year-old man and a 19-year-old man were shot about 7 p.m. in the 8000 block of South Maplewood Avenue, said Officer Veejay Zala, a police spokesman.

They were walking on the sidewalk when a car passed by and fired several shots, striking the 17-year-old in his right leg and the 19-year-old in his shoulder, Zala said.

They were both taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in "stable" condition, Zala said.

Further information was not immediately available.
