HYDE PARK — A weekly live sitcom starts on Friday at the University of Chicago’s Logan Center for the Arts.

“B-Side Studio” tells the story of two brothers desperately trying to brainstorm ideas to save their quickly failing Chicago recording studio.

Co-writers Ike Holter and Evan Linder of the New Colony Theater said they hope to push the familiar format of the sitcom into new territory.

The play will be serialized in four segments at the Logan Center, 915 E. 60th St., and tickets are available for the entire run for $40 or $20 for individual shows.

For those who can’t make an episode, but want to stay caught up, a video of the performance will be posted online the Monday after the weekend performances.

Tickets are available through the University of Chicago at ticketsweb.uchicago.edu.
