LINCOLN SQUARE — Brown Line riders are getting socked with a double dose of construction woes.

In addition to the rehab project underway between the Merchandise Mart and Armitage stations, maintenance work will reduce late-night travel to a single track between the Western and Kimball stops, beginning Sunday and continuing through October.

Affected stations include Rockwell, Francisco and Kedzie.

According to a CTA notice, construction will take place between 9 p.m. and 4:30 a.m.

Though the CTA said it aims to keep inconveniences to a minimum, the agency has also warned residents along the track that "there will be noise while the work is being performed."

Construction dates are: Sunday to Sept. 19; Sept. 22-26; Sept. 29-Oct. 3; and Oct. 6-10.
