CHICAGO — Two stars collided before Pearl Jam's concert at Wrigley Field Friday night.

Blackhawks forward Patrick Sharp considers Pearl Jam his favorite band, and he posed for a photo with the group's legendary lead singer, Eddie Vedder, before the show.

"Dream come true, get ready for the show Chicago..." Sharp tweeted Friday night.

During an Comcast SportsNet interview earlier this year, Sharp called Vedder "a hero of mine" and that Pearl Jam was "definitely the No. 1 [band] for me."

Sharp told The Hockey News in 2009 that "Pearl Jam is my favorite band and they have been for as long as I can remember, so that’s basically 75 percent of what’s on my IPod."

Brandon Faber, the Blackhawks' senior director of communications and community relations, tweeted a photo of the two men before the concert, noting: "Will be a memorable night Wrigley for @10PSharp tonight." Faber later tweeted: "Pretty damn cool meeting Eddie before the show at Wrigley tonight with @10PSharp."

Sharp helped lead the Blackhawks to their second Stanley Cup title in four years.
