WRIGLEYVILLE — Break out the spray tan, folks.
DJ Pauly D of "Jersey Shore" fame will be spinning in Wrigleyville at John Barleycorn, 3524 N. Clark St., on Aug. 2.
Pauly D, whose real name is Paul DelVecchio, rose to fame with the popularity of MTV's reality show "Jersey Shore." DelVecchio also starred in his own spinoff, "The Pauly D Project," which documented his life as a celebrity DJ. Most recently, he performed at the Miss USA 2013 pageant in Las Vegas.
A Ticketmaster forum of fan reviews rated DJ Pauly D live shows an average of 3.3 out of 5 stars.
Positive reviews said the performance was "chill times with chill bros," "non-stop dancing" and "pumpin' and dancing all night."
Negative reviews decried a late arrival and the audience — "Nothing but trashy people went to this," one reviewer said.
The reality star and DJ will perform at the Backstreet Boys' concert at Northerly Island
earlier that night, with the John Barleycorn event serving as the official afterparty.
Tickets cost $15 and can be bought at the bar's website. Doors open at 10 p.m.
