CHICAGO — Two males were shot Monday afternoon after a bloody weekend in Chicago left eight dead and dozens injured from gun violence.
The latest shooting occurred in the 6600 block of South Wentworth Avenue in Englewood, according to the fire department.
Authorities received a 911 call at 1:36 p.m. and found an 18-year-old man shot at a Shell gas station.
The man was taken to St. Bernard Hospital and his condition is unknown, said Chief Juan Hernandez, a fire department spokesman.
In Morgan Park, a man was taken to John H. Stroger Hospital after he was shot in the 11000 block of South Ashland Avenue about 1:13 p.m., authorities said.
