CHICAGO — At least two people were wounded in shootings late Saturday and early Sunday, police said.

A 40-year-old woman was shot in the upper right arm about 10:35 p.m. Saturday, said Officer John Mirabelli, a police spokesman. The incident occurred in Chicago Lawn at the intersection of West 59th Street and South Kedzie Avenue.

No further information was available Sunday morning.

About 2:54 a.m. Sunday, a 31-year-old man was shot in the buttocks, wrist and hand in Chatham, Mirabelli said. The man was sitting in a car in the 1100 block of West 87th Street, when a gunman approached on foot and ordered the victim out of the vehicle.

He complied, but was shot as he was running away, Mirabelli said. Police weren't sure why the gunman approached the car, since he also fled on foot.

The victim was listed in stable condition at Advocate Christ Medical Center Sunday morning, Mirabelli said.

No one was in custody for either shooting.
