CHICAGO — At least two people were injured when a school bus and a Chicago Police squad car crashed into each other on the South Side Tuesday morning, authorities said

The bus and squad car collided about 7:50 a.m. in the 4200 block of South Martin Luther King Drive, said Officer Jose Estrada, a police spokesman.

A male police officer was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital with minor injuries, and the woman driving the bus was taken to Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, also in good condition, authorities said. A school bus attendant might have also gone to Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, Estrada said.

Nine others involved in the crash refused medical attention, according to the fire department.

No children were injured, police said.

The circumstances of the crash were not immediately clear Tuesday morning.
