CHICAGO — Two teens were injured in a shooting Wednesday afternoon in Back of the Yards.
The boys, ages 15 and 17, were walking eastbound in the 1600 block of West 49th Street about 4:45 p.m. when the gunman emerged from an alley and shot at them multiple times, striking both teens, police said.
The 15-year-old was shot in the leg and taken to Stroger Hospital in stable condition, police said.
The 17-year-old was struck in the buttocks and taken to the hospital in stable condition, police said.
The gunman was seen fleeing north into a nearby alley after the shooting, police said. No suspects are in custody.
