Woman, Baby Hurt After Train-Auto Collision Near Midway

CHICAGO — Two people were injured when a train and car collided in Garfield Ridge Sunday night, fire officials said.

The collision happened about 8:30 p.m. Sunday near 54th Street and Long Avenue near Midway Airport.

Fire officials said a woman suffered a head injury and was in critical condition. A baby girl  also sustained injuries that were not considered life-threatening. They were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital.
