CHICAGO — A father and the 18-month-old daughter he allegedly abducted were safely found Thursday, police said.

Police issued a statement Thursday alerting the community that the 18-month-old girl was abducted by 43-year-old Jamie Morrow, who reportedly holds dual citizenship in the U.S. and Colombia.

The girl was allegedly taken while Morrow was visiting. The two were last seen on Tuesday about noon in the 500 block of South Dearborn Street in the Loop, police said.

Morrow lives in Barranquilla, Colombia, police said. Authorities believe he has family in California and Florida.

Police had no further details about how Morrow and the girl were found.
