16-Year-Old Girl Sexually Assaulted at Gunpoint on South Side

CHICAGO — A 16-year-old girl was sexually assaulted and robbed at gunpoint Wednesday, police said.

A man walked up to the girl about 10:15 a.m. in the 6300 block of South Paulina Avenue, police said.

He forced her into a nearby gangway at gunpoint and sexually assaulted her, police said.

He also robbed her, taking an iPod, cell phone and cash. She was taken to Comer Children's Hospital in stable condition, authorities said.

The offender is described as a black man between the ages of 16 and 18 with a light complexion and short hair. He is between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-8 and weighs between 140 and 160 pounds, police said.
