NORTH CENTER — Another reason to hate Mondays: Half Acre Beer Co. announced it will close up shop and its tap room on the worst day of the week ever.

When the much-anticipated tap room opened in November, the brewery opted to become a seven-day-a-week operation, which extended to the neighboring retail store as well.

"Enough of that," the beer makers posted to the company's blog. "Starting next week, Monday, January 14th 2013, we will be CLOSED on Mondays once again. This pertains to both the tap room and the store. Sorry for any issues this causes for you."

Feel free to drown your sorrows to a chorus of Boomtown Rats' "I Don't Like Mondays."

In other area restaurant news:

Yogurt Square, 4701 N. Lincoln Ave., which opened last February, is not going out of business, it's just remodeling.

Owner Ali Ozturk hung out a notice announcing his intentions prior to Christmas, but customers obviously didn't get the message, sparking much hand-wringing on EveryBlock.

Fear not fro-yo fans, you'll be self-serving again soon.

More good news, as long as you're not of the "all chains are evil" persuasion: The coming-soon Au Bon Pain at Swedish Covenant Hospital is officially here.

The soup/salad/sandwich purveyor breathes new life into the corner of California and Foster avenues and serves up an alternative to the Hilltop diner.

Note, Au Bon Pain is closed on Sundays. But you'll be at Half Acre refilling growlers anyway.
