CHICAGO — A 13-year-old boy was fatally shot outside his Brighton Park home in April.

Roberto Adrian Luna was outside his home in the 4600 block of South Spaulding Avenue on April 7 when two men allegedly came out of a gangway and opened fire, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office and published reports.

He was pronounced dead shortly after the incident at Mount Sinai Hospital, according to the office.

Luna was with two of his friends that Saturday night and had posted a status about an hour before he was shot, saying he was “Chillen like a villain” at 9 p.m., the Tribune reported.

"He was an amazing kid. He had a full life ahead of himself," Natalie Giron, a family friend, told NBC5.

No one has been charged in Roberto's murder, according to police data.
