Man Dies After New Year's Day Shooting

CHICAGO — A Bridgeview man died nearly a week after being shot on New Year's day.

Myron Brown, was in Auburn Gresham when he was shot multiple times at about 1:35 p.m. on New Year's Day, according to authorities.

The 30-year-old was in a car on the 8700 block of South Honore Street when an unknown suspect fired several shots through the driver's side window, hitting him multiple times, police said.

He was taken to Christ hospital and was pronounced dead at 8:33 p.m. on Saturday, accoring to the Cook County medical examiner.

No one is currently in custody, police said.
