HERMOSA — A man was in critical condition Tuesday afternoon after being shot in the back in the Northwest Side Hermosa neighborhood.
The 25-year-old man was shot in the 4400 block of West Armitage Avenue about 2 p.m., Chicago Police spokesman Joshua Purkiss said.
He was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in critical condition, according to Fire Department spokesman Kevin MacGregor.
No arrests had been made in the shooting as of Tuesday afternoon, police spokesman Veejay Zala said.
