Woman Killed on Kennedy Expressway

CHICAGO — A 25-year-old woman was killed early Sunday morning in an accident on the Kennedy Expressway.

Agnieszka Firosz, of the 5600 block of West Cullom Avenue, was heading eastbound on Interestate 90 when the vehicle crashed near Harlem Avenue.

The vehicle was traveling at a “very, very high rate of speed,” and lost control, hitting crash barrels near the Harlem exit ramp, said Illinois State Police Master Sgt. Al Ulcigrai.

He said one passenger was injured, and taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hosptial. Ulcigrai did not know the extent of the passenger’s injuries.

She was pronounced dead a Resurrection Medical Center at 2:55 Sunday morning, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
