At Least 3 Dead, 4 Injured in Weekend Shootings

CHICAGO — At least three people died and four were injured in shootings citywide over the weekend.

Chad Carrasco, 35, of the 12500 block of South Harvard Avenue, died on Sunday after he was shot in the head in the 3500 block of West Lake Street in East Garfield Park, police and the Cook County medical examiner's office said. He was pronounced dead at the scene just before 5:30 a.m., the medical examiner's office said.

Cintrail Williams, 26, of the 200 block of South Sacramento Avenue, was found dead Sunday in a car on the 3300 block of West Crystal Street. He was pronounced dead on the scene at 5:20 a.m., the medical examiner's office said.

Hakeem Walton, 20, of Hammond, Ind. was shot in the head in 2700 block of East 84th Street in South Chicago about 2:15 a.m. Saturday, authorities said. He died of his injuries at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn at 6:35 p.m., authorities said.

About 12:20 a.m. Sunday, a 23-year-old woman was shot in the face and a 21-year-old man was shot in the arm in the 1200 block of West 18th Street in the Pilsen neighborhood, Mirabelli said.

Both were taken to Stroger Hospital. The woman was in critical condition while the man was in good condition this morning, Mirabelli said.

At about 11 p.m. Saturday, a 21-year-old man was shot in the 100 block of East 49th Street in Bronzeville, Mirabelli said. The man, shot by someone exiting a vehicle, was taken to Stroger and was listed in "stable" condition.

Another male was shot at 2:15 a.m. Sunday morning in the 3500 block of West Diversey Avenue in the Avondale neighborhood, Mirabelli said. That victim was taken to Norwegian-American Hospital where his condition is unknown, Mirabelli said.
