Woman Dies After Falling at Bryn Mawr Red Line Station

A woman was fatally injured Thursday after falling down the stairs at the Bryn Mawr Red Line station.

CHICAGO — An Edgewater woman died Thursday after falling down the stairs at the Bryn Mawr Red Line station, authorities said.

Duyen Nguyen, 68, of the 5800 block of North Ridge Avenue, died at Advocate Illinois Masonic Hospital after falling while walking down the stairs at the station about 12:30 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

She suffered head trauma and was pronounced dead just before 8 p.m., officials said.

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.
