Popular burger joint Kuma's Corner is opening a second location in Lincoln Park

LINCOLN PARK — Metal-heads and burger lovers rejoice: Kuma's Corner is opening a second location, according to a public notice on the storefront.

The popular metal-themed burger joint with unique toppings and will be opening a Kuma's Too at 666 W. Diversey Pkwy, as first reported by Chicago magazine. It replaces the storefront of burger chain The Counter, which closed last weekend.

It is set to open by Feburary, according to Chicago magazine. Workers were already working on adapting the space for Kuma's when a reporter visited on Thursday.  

Owner Michael Cain said the new location seats 73 people. Kuma's Corner's original location at 2900 W. Belmont Ave. in Avondale frequently has long waits for its thick burgers. 

Kuma's Corner will be opening a second location at 666 W. Diversey Pkwy.
