CHICAGO — A far northwest suburban man was fatally shot Sunday morning on the city's Near West Side.
The 28-year-old man was standing on a porch on the 2400 block of West Flournoy Street when he was hit in his upper right back around 2:45 a.m., police said.
Gavin Williams, of the 2600 block of Gilead Aveune in northwest suburban Zion, was taken to Stroger Hospital where he was pronounced dead less than an hour later, according to the Cook County medical examiner.
No suspects are currently in custody.
