CHICAGO— A man died after being stabbed in the back in his Englewood home in January, authorities said.

Trea Johnson, 26, also known as Untre Johnson, was fatally stabbed in his home in the 6500 block of South Hermitage Avenue on Jan. 23, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

He was allegedly murdered by his wife, 24-year-old Michela Johnson, who lived with her husband in Englewood, the Tribune reported. She was charged with first-degree murder and held on $750,000 bond, according to Cook County court records.

The motive for the Englewood man's killing was unclear, and police said that the stabbing occured during a "domestic altercation," the Tribune reported.

Johnson's family could not be reached for comment.
