Marque Staneluis

Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Contact

Marque Staneluis is director of product development for DNAinfo, bringing with him over 20 years of software development and computer engineering. He's responsible for everything technical that's associated with our news operation; from the back end to the hardware we use everyday, to the distribution of our content onto your mobile device.

Before DNAinfo, Marque was the lead information architect for Lifetime Television, where he redesigned and relaunched their Web site. There, he also pioneered first-of-their-kind uses for Drupal, a coding framework that had primarily been used for small blog sites, to work for a site that attracted 1 million page views a day.

Marque has also been director of product development for Avero, LLC, which provided Web-based business intelligence software, including prominent Manhattan restaurants as well as the boutique hotelier, Kimpton.

At PlanSoft Corp., Marque developed a Web-based automated meeting planning tool that brought hotels into the 21st century. It not only boosted sales for Hilton, Fairmont and Wyndham hotels, but also brought in $40 million for the company. Marque received two patents for Web technology he developed at PlanSoft.

Marque attended the University of Michigan and Cleveland State University, graduating with a degree in electrical engineering.

Fun Fact: On top of being an avid comic book collector in his youth, Marque was also an amateur kickboxer.
