Editorial Assistant
jen.glickel@dnainfo.com

Jennifer Glickel is an editorial assistant at DNAinfo and a born-and-bred Manhattanite. She's lived here her entire life, except for the four years she defected to the Midwest to study at the University of Chicago, from where she graduated with an honors degree in Anthropology in 2008.

During her college years, Jen worked as an intern writing scripts, editing tape and copy editing for several popular and well-respected cable and network TV programs including "Scarborough Country" on MSNBC, "Anderson Cooper 360" on CNN and the "CBS Evening News with Katie Couric". A project she worked on for CNN, called "Chinese Organs," was nominated for an Emmy.

For DNAinfo.com, Jen will put her journalistic and anthropologic skills to use covering the Upper East Side. Around the newsroom, she's known as a New York City foodie who will dine wherever there's a good meal at a good price, be it from a halal cart or a trendy restaurant.

Fun Fact: Jen's middle name is Liberty because she was born on Liberty Weekend, a three-day celebration for the centennial of the Statue of Liberty in New York City.
