BROOKLYN — A 22-year-old man was shot and killed in front of his Bedford-Stuyvesant home in broad daylight on Monday, police said.

The victim was shot in the head outside on Sumpter Street, near Saratoga Avenue, at 1:20 p.m. and pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.

Asher Coleman, 21, who said he knew the victim for 11 years, said he was shocked someone would execute his friend.

"I would never think anybody had a problem with him," said Coleman.

His body was found slumped near a red SUV parked on Sumpter Street.

Police are not identifying the man until they can notify his relatives about the shooting.

No one has been arrested.

Coleman added that the victim, who worked as a security guard, had a 3-year-old daughter.

"She loved her dad and he loved her," Coleman said. "How can you tell a 3-year-old her dad is dead?"
