Chinatown Restaurant Week Invites New Yorkers to Pick Up Their Chopsticks

CHINATOWN — Dim sum isn't the only way to get a good deal in Chinatown.

Starting Friday, the neighborhood's first-ever Chinatown Restaurant Week will bring prix fixe specials to more than a dozen eateries, including the popular Golden Unicorn and Nom Wah Tea Parlor.

For $18.88, patrons will get a three-course dinner at any of the participating restaurants, except for the Peking Duck House, which will offer the same special at lunch instead.

"It is hard to imagine a more perfect neighborhood for Restaurant Week than our Chinatown community, home to some of our city’s greatest and most unique restaurants," Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, who represents Chinatown, said in a statement.

"I encourage everyone to come out and explore this wonderful neighborhood."
