MANHATTAN — Talk about an old-fashioned smash-and-grab.

Police are searching for a pair of cobblestone-wielding crooks who smashed their way into stores across the borough before stealing merchandise such as watches and leather jackets.

The two male suspects used the stone to break or attempt to break front windows at four stores in SoHo, Midtown and the Upper West Side during the three-week spree, police said.

The first break-in occurred on Dec. 31 at the Folli Follie accessories shop on Prince Street in SoHo, where the suspects allegedly smashed five display cases and made off with watches about 5:56 a.m.

The second incident occurred on Jan. 11 at the MO851 clothing store at 635 Madison Ave., near East 59th Street, where the suspects broke in and stole leather jackets and T-shirts about 4:05 a.m., police said.

The second suspect is described as heavy set and wearing a black mask, black hat, brown jacket, gray hooded sweatshirt, black plants, white gloves, white shoes and holding a black bag.
