WASHINGTON HEIGHTS — Police are looking for a mystery bank robber who allegedly robbed a Bank of America branch in Washington Heights while hidden behind a hat, dark glasses and long, dark hair.

The suspect — who police said could be either male or female — walked into the Bank of America at 4061 Broadway near 171st Street at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, September 9. Police described the suspect as 25 years old, standing 5-foot-5-inches tall, and weighing approximately 130 pounds.

The individual was last seen wearing a large-brimmed, gray hat and a long purple dress with floral print.

The suspect approached a teller and demanded money before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police.
