MANHATTAN — Matt Damon may not be on the best of terms with President Obama, but his love affair with Mayor Michael Bloomberg is alive and well.

The mayor's office announced Tuesday that the "Bourne Identity" star would be honored as part of the 6th Annual Made in NY Awards, to be held June 6 at Gracie Mansion.

The Damon-Bloomberg connection dates back to 2009, when the actor endorsed Bloomberg’s third-term run for mayor of New York City. More recently, Bloomberg made a cameo appearance in Damon’s sci-fi flick "The Adjustment Bureau."

The film, in which Damon plays a budding politician, drew jeers from President Barack Obama during his speech at the White House Correspondents' Dinner. Obama joked that he was retaliating against Damon's earlier criticism of national education policy.
