GREENWICH VILLAGE — Designer Marc Jacobs is advertising more than just high fashion in his Bleecker Street storefront.

A new window display, created in partnership with the Human Rights Campaign (an LGBT advocacy group), invites passersby at 403 Bleecker St. to support marriage equality in New York.

The message, created in a wedding invitation style typeface, accompanies a scene of spring nuptial stables including sundresses, yellow flowers, a trellis and white chairs.

The goal for Jacobs and other supporters of HRC's work is to overturn the federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), which prevents same-sex couples from garnering over 1,100 federal rights and benefits.

Other projects by the HRC include a series of videos of celebrities speaking out for gay marriage. Participants include actors Julianna Marguiles, Mark Ruffalo and Kyra Sedgwick, as well as Mayor Michael Bloomberg and chef Tom Colicchio.
