LOWER MANHATTAN — Thieves broke into two downtown construction sites in January, police said.

Workers at 240 West Broadway told police that sometime between January 21 and 24 someone forced open a locked door and took a $750 Lenovo laptop, a $200 drill and a $100 camera.

On January 22, workers at 195 Broadway discovered about 6 p.m. that someone had broken into the equipment room and stolen a $400 drill, a $125 drill and a $225 charger, police said.
