Man Charged With of Robbing Kirsten Dunst At SoHo Grand Has Bail Revoked

MANHATTAN SUPREME COURT — A man accused of robbing Kirsten Dunst at the SoHo Grand Hotel, out on bail since his arrest two years ago, was thrown back in jail by a bail bondsman who said he was owed more than $10,000.

But a lawyer for accused robber James Jimenez claims he's already paid Spartan Bail Bonds proprietor George Zouvelos the $14,000 he's owed. The bondsman, claimed the lawyer, only revoked bail after Jimenez sister's dumped him.

On Thursday, the messy case landed - which is going to trial again after a previous hung jury - landed back in Manhattan Supreme Court, where a judge re-set bail at $50,000 for Jimenez. He was in jail, pending his family posting the money.

When reached by phone Wednesday afternoon, Zouvelos said arresting Jimenez was strictly a business deal.

But Jimenez' lawyer Robert Parker said the case highlighted a weakness in New York law that allowed bondsman to make arrests. Jimenez was arrested making a routine required visit to Zouvelos, the attorney said.

Jimenez' sister Marta added: "The only reason he did this is because I wouldn't marry him."

Dunst and British actor Simon Pegg are set to testify again when the retrial starts on Jan. 12 about the theft of their belongings from the hotel's penthouse, which is believed to have occurred while they were shooting a film in the lobby.

Jimenez will fight to have the bail payments he claimed he made returned to him in civil court, his family said.

Emotinally invovled I dont think so, but working in the court watching you pretend to be so innocent made us all sick to our stomachs. Ms. Jimenez Everyone knows you were never engaged to this man. How can you be engaged to a man that is married and so are you? The fact is the bondsman dumped you over a year ago it is you who is obsessed with him. It is you who should move one her merry way and stop pretending you are worth more than lying common street trash. As far as the bondsman business with North river who cares! Your brother was out on bail for Two years and three months on nothing but air. It is a good idea that you stop lying and move on. As far as I am concerned this baby momma drama bull crap and your still starving for attention. Find your way to a street corner and get it.

LUCKOFTHEIRISH you seem to be sooo emotionally involved could this be the obsessed George Zouvelos himself trying to go after Ms.Marta be a man about it and LEAVE THE GIRL ALONE she doesn't want you. as for the guy being a productive tax payer I doudt that if his bonds are not be reported to NORTHRIVER he has representing him good luck to him

By the posts submitteed below Shayna it is obvious that a relentless smeer campaign has begun against the bondsman in public with the press, but the bondsman denies to comment. All public records we see show NO order of protection in effect against the bondsman for anyone. Looks like the smeer campaing is a one man, or should we say, a one woman show perpatrated by a bitter Ms. Marta Jimenez herself. By Ms. Jimenez now being called a liar by not one but three seperate New York State Judges in criminal, family and supreme court denying Jimenez orders of protection against Zouvelos, which as you know is highly irregular unless it is in cases of fraudulent complaints, must be a bitter pill to swallow for Marta Jimenez. Now Jimenez is branded a liar as the courts continue to force her to consume her own crow. The truth will eventually come out and we shall see who will be the one behind bars. As far as Mr. Zouvelos is concerned all we see is a productive, taxpayer who is involved with his family and with his community and is afforded the presumption of innocence just as anyone else merely being accused and not convicted of a crime.

the order of protection the sister held against the obsessed Bondsman, would affect the bond done as a favor to her…Didn’t understand how the NORTHRIVER INSURANCE COMPANY had no records of the serial number encrypted bond. Did zouvelos swindle his own insurance company?

Whats so New Here Shayna? No Money No Honey and No Honey No Money and That is the Way the entire worl works! This James Jimenez is real dirt with a rap sheet as long as my arm. The bondsman had every right to surrender this dirtbag to jail. Would you contiunue to write articles if your employer decided not to pay you? If the reason the bondsman bailed out her brohter was for personal relationship and none now existed what exactly beyond sweat equity can pay for the bail?
