CENTRAL PARK — The owner of the iconic New York restaurant Tavern on the Green will be auctioning everything from chairs to chandeliers inside of the Central Park eatery in January.

After a lavish New Year's Eve gala, which will be the restaurant's proverbial and literal last supper, owner Jennifer LeRoy will put up all the dining hall's items at a bankruptcy auction on Jan. 13 and 14, according to the auctioneer, Guernsey's.

Tavern on the Green filed for bankruptcy in September after the city, which owns the building, announced that the 20-year lease will be transferred to the owner of the Central Park Boathouse, Dean Poll, on Jan. 1.

The Post reported that the items up for auction include not only 54 complete place settings, but also "45 chandeliers, including a Baccarat crystal and 16 stained-glass fixtures; 1,000 upholstered chairs; 14 etched mirrors; 24 copper and gold-lead weather vanes; linens; garden furniture; Japanese lanterns; stone sculptures; granite coffee tables; the lighted outdoor tent, and even its murals."

Even items that are nailed to the walls and ceiling will be offered up, although the removal process will come at the buyer's expense.

"Items will be purchased 'in situ'," Guernsey's says. "In other words it will be the responsibility of the successful bidder to remove from the walls and ceilings (if necessary) mirrors, murals, chandeliers, etc."

The auction will be held on-site at the restaurant with a preview starting on Jan. 6 and continuing for a week.
